DELE (Diploma de Español como Lengua Extranjera) is the Spanish Certificate for Foreigners officially recognised by the Spanish Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport, issued by the Instituto Cervantes (the only body authorised to award the qualification) in collaboration with the University of Salamanca, which is in charge of assessing the tests.
The DELE examinations follow the standards set by the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages and are divided into the six levels of proficiency indicated by it (A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, C2): each aspiring candidate chooses which of these examinations to take according to their starting level and the type of certification they need.
The content of the DELE exams requires specific preparation, which is why our school organises courses in Naples that help students pass the exam successfully and without difficulty. Based on each student’s starting level, our mother tongue teachers identify the most suitable course for them and provide them with all the necessary tools to achieve a complete and targeted preparation.
Why obtain a DELE certificate?
DELE diplomas have international value and represent a major entry requirement for non-native speakers wishing to access Spanish universities or any foreign job offers.
They are prestigious certificates, indispensable for building a competitive professional profile aspiring to work with Spanish, as knowledge of the language alone is not enough if it is not accompanied by an official certificate attesting the degree of competence achieved.
Like all language diplomas, DELE certificates can award credit at school or university and give points in public competitions and rankings. They are not subject to expiry, but in certain work contexts they may have to be repeated to confirm the level of competence achieved, after a certain number of years since the certificate was issued.
